We serve our community in the memory of Maya Hirsch, killed on May 20, 2006 by a hit and run driver who ignored a stop sign near the Lincoln Park Zoo. We are dedicated to raising awareness around the importance of responsibly sharing the roadways, and equally committed to supporting families who have lost loved ones due to tragic traffic accidents.

Stop For Maya has recently become a grantmaking body: scroll down to see this year's recipients and the good work they are doing in line with our mission!

We are glad you have taken a moment to visit us online. We encourage you to take a moment today to remember Maya, to hug your loved ones, and please: promote safety on our roads and at our crosswalks, for everyone's benefit.
